CRITICISM KEITH & PROCTOR'S 125TH STREET THEATRE SEPTEMBER 23, 1907. ED. ESTUS Equilibrint. Rather novel. All right for an opener. Closed rather tame. 9 Minutes full stage. CHAS. WAYNE & CO. In the comedy "10 A. M. or the Morning After". Moved this man up on account of the discouraging reports and the my surprise he held his own. Company consists of Gertrude Des Roche & Burt Morton. The woman is rather attractive but has a bad delivery. Wayne's drunken scene in one with the assistance of the Kinetograph describing his trip home started them off with plenty of laughs. The next scene held its own containing plenty of action, good business, laughs, etc. In it s entirety it pleased. Wayne always was a bad proposition as a comedian. With another man this act could be improved upon . 26 Minutes, open in one 5 Minutes, close in one 2 Minutes. PALFREY & HOEFLER RATHER disappointed in this act. Their work is very ordinary secured very little applause. The comedy end secured a few laughs. Not strong enough to close the show. 9 Minutes full stage. TACIANU This man opened rather weak but just as soon as the imperson-ation was discovered they appreciated his efforts and sanctioned his work which necessitated taking several bows. 11 Minutes in one. MILITARY OCTETTE Changed considerable since I saw it last. Presented on a cheaper scale. However, the house approved of it and gave them strong applause. Compelled to encore. 24 Minutes full stage. Close in one about 2 Minutes. Well known. Act remains about the same intermingled with some new material. An excellent entertainer. At the afternoon performance he went badly, at the evening performance he improved slightly. Presume he will hold his own before the week is out. 18 Minutes in one. FOUR FORDS Well known. Greatest dancing act in the varieties. Closing the entertainment and held them. Received strong applause throughout with big applause on the finish. 16 Minutes full stage. KINETOGRAPH The Short Sighted Cyclist Good How to Cure a Cold Fair
