16 Temple Detroit SEPT. 23, 1907 J. H. FINN. CARLETTA An extraordinary good contortion not, with electrical effects and novel opening. 10 min. FS. JOSEPH DEMING. Monologue and songs. Good act for this spot. Using some of the stuff used by Clifton Crawford. 12 min. in one. MAX YORK'S FOX TERRIERS. Man and woman, and five dogs. Woman is excess. Man does some acrobatic work and is imitated by the dogs. A nice little act, particularly for women and children. 8 min. FS. CAMERON & FLANAGAN. An excellent black-and-white comedy, singing and dancing act. Open in one. Close FS. with dressing room scene. Second appearance here but could stand for it again. 16 min. "CORINNE." Singing and mandolin specialty. Just a fair act but may draw us some money on account of the name. Ordinarily she is worth about $150. 15 min. in one. MR. & MRS. SIDNEY DREW. Presenting for the first time here "Billy's Tombstone" This comedy was a knockout and quite the best thing the Drews ever gave us. Some complaint was made regarding the use of swear words by one of the managers on the circuit, but I failed to catch anything of even the slightest in that line. In fact the comedy is the sort that would please a Puritan right off the Mayflower. 25 min. FS. THE KEMP'S "TALES OF THE WILD." This act is a series of beautiful pictures of Arizona, featuring the Moki Indians, with both still and animated pictures. Mrs. Kemp, the lecturer, has a poor deliver which detracts somewhat from the value of the act. 19 min. NED WAYBURN'S "PHANTASTIC PHANTOMS." Acrobatic and dancing act, with "black art" methods, comprising seven girls and two men. The ground tumbling of the men is excellent, and it might be called the feature of the act. This act does not add any new laurels to Ned Wayburn. It might make an excellent act for one of the burlesque wheels. 16 min. FS KINESTOGRAPH. "The Fortune-Teller" is a very good picture, and was thoroughly pleasing to our patrons.
