52[[?]]-Phil. KITA BANZAI TROPUE,Jap.jugg & acro:- 18 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 10:17. Eight superb acrobats. These people are better than on previous occasions. They have introduced some comedy that is a good laughing hit and improves the act. All are superbly costumed, as might be expected;-with a magnificent embroidered drop. For skill, precision and beauty, the act could hardly be excelled. Finish a whirlwind of applause. [[underline]]KINETOGRAPH[[end underline]], "DANCING NIG"-- Amusing comedy film. "PRESIDENT FALLIERE'S VISIT TO THE COLONIAL EXHIBITION:" Interesting film of French celebrity. "PRIVATE ATKINS MINDS THE BABY": Fairly strong comedy film. Altogether the KINETOGRAPH series is about up to the standard. [[underline]]LA ROSE A FREDERICKS[[end underline]], wire act:- 12 min. F.S. 3 shows. On at 5:52. Two men. Makes a very good opener. Work with wire, one of the men holding it while the other one performs upon it. Each one of the stunts got good hand. Good closing hand. [[underline]]DONNELLY & ROTALI[[end underline]],Voc:- 15 min. in 1. 3 shows. On at 7:04. (also 1 1/2) Four changes of costume for women and three for man. This act can occupy a small place in the three-a-day section, but nothing better. The comedy is shy, and the only thing that holds it is the woman's singing, but even this creates only a small impression. Close fair with a curtain call. [[underline]]AKOUNINE TRIO[[end underline]],Instrumentalists:-14 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at7:58 Two women and one man. Violin and 'cello played by the women and an exaggerated type of guitar by the man. All rather expert musicians and soloists. The 'cellist is particularly good. Played some classic and popular selections and finished with a Dixie number. Received good hand for each selection and closed very well. As a straight musical act this is very good in this early or middle of the two-a-day section. BERT LEVY,:-20 min. F. S. 2 shows. On at 8:58. Well known in the circuit and nothing need be said about it, more than it made good in an important spot. His pictures are skilful and his remarks some times humorous and always pleasing. One of the best picture-acts we have ever played. GENERAL REMARKS:- This is an old favorite show. The press and the public both seem to be pleased with it in spite of the fact that there is no absolutely great novelty. Cressy, Wilder, Wynn and Levy will help to pull business to the house. Donnelly and Rotali were the only people that fall short of expectations, whereas the Kits Banzi Troupe were far superior and make one of the greatest closing-acts in the business.
