C. F. Semon. (cont.) spite of the fact. 20 min. open and close in one, 2 shows. Harry LaRose & Co. In "The Sailor and the Horse". Very funny idea of a sketch which held the audience in their seats in good shape and got many laughs in spite of its hard position on the bill. 18 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Pictures. O. K. Fred Morton. This young man I haven't seen yet, but I understand he is doing the same act as last year, paper tearing, etc. I find he has been booked at $75.00. I can't understand for the life of me why he should be paid any such figure. Of course I was obliged to back up the office agreement although I tried hard to bluff out of it, and have him play for the same figure as last year, but he called up New York and had his $75.00 verified with the statement that I could call up Mr. Fitzpatrick and make sure that it was all right. maybe it is but $50.00 is plenty for him, more than is a hold-up.
