PITTSBURG, PA. GRAND OPERA HOUSE SEPT. 30th, 07. GILMOUR & LATOUR- Olio. 15 min. 3 shows. Singing and talking act. Dressed very neat and do very well in the three a day section. ODER TRIO- Club Jugglers-10 min., full stage, wood. 3 shows. All right for three shows. THREE LEIGHTONS-Singing, dancing and talking act. 18 min. entitled "A One Night Stand in Minstrelsy". One of the best acts of the kind we have played. Good singers, good dancers and very god comedians. THE GAINSBORO GIRL- 14 min. Special, full stage. The is surely a fine act - different from anything we have had, showing Miss Brackman in a big gold frame, singing with appropriate settings. The scenery and lights are the best thing of the kind I have ever seen, the singing of Miss Brackman away above the ordinary. Taking the act as a whole it more than makes good. MULLEN & CORELLI- Comedy acrobats and talking act in one. 12 min. This is not as good as their full stage act. However, this is their first week and they will no doubt improve. FRANKLIN & GREEN- 18 min. Olio in one. This is a very good act. The piano playing of Mr. Green being exceptionally good and the singing of Miss Franklin going very big. I would not hesitate to give them any places on the bill. NANCE O'NEIL & MCKEE RANKIN- in "The Jewess" 19 min. This sketch is the curse scene from "Leah the Forsaken". The supporting company, with one exceptions, Miss Clara Blahey, is not good but the last ten minutes of the act, from the the time Miss O'Neal enters is very strong, closing to 4 and 5 curtains at every performance. There is no question but what Miss O'Neal is one of our best actresses but she is somewhat handicapped this week with a bad cold. WARREN & BLANCHARD- Black face singing and talking act. 18 min in one Going very big. LUCILLE MULHALL-and her Ranch Boys with 7 horses. From 20 to 25 min. There is no question but what this act is the best of the kind that has ever appeared in vaudeville. I would advise any on booking this act to be sure that their jumps would allow them to get in early in the morning the day of their opening as the preparation for this is enormous. You can figure that it takes them at least 2-1/2 hours after they reach the thearte. We were unable to get them on Monday P. M. until 5:30. It is a question with me whether or not the bucking bronco is a good thing in the act I am afraid that it does not appeal to a portion of our audience. TREMONT QUARTETTE- 3 shows. 15 min. These boys do not look well - neither do they sing well and their comedy is not good. MISS KITTY MORRIS - 10 min. Olio, 3 shows. "Coon Shouter". I have no hesitancy in saying that Miss Morris is not in a class with the above quartette. She is also good. MAX DUFFEK - European Musical Contortionist - 8 min. Full stage. This is a good little novelty act- good enough to open any shoe in a two a day house. JOHN P. HARRIS.
