(Carl D. Lothrop) Boston Shov, Week of Oct. 14, 1907. (Monday Oct. 14--Afternoon Show) Overture. 1.30, 9 min. Le Dent. On at 1.39, 9 min full stage, 2 min close in I, 11 min in all, 3 shows. comedy juggler who is much above the averange of 3-show acts. I would not hesitate to use him as a late as 3 and 8.30 in this house, if necessary. Ha will certaintly provea bargain for the smaller houses. Harlen Brothers. On at 1.50, 10 min, full stage, 3 shows. One of the best low-priced [aerobatic?] comedy acts in the market. Good enough to open the show in any house, in fact can hold a much better place in most cities. The Vaughners. On at 2 o'clock 14 min, full stage, 3 shows. a coon act tht falls considerably bellow the standard of such acts, both in the singing and dancing. Rigoletto Brothers. On at 2.14, 12 min, full stage. Can open in I, 3 or 4 minutes if necessary. RAther a novel aerobatie and revolving ladder act, presented by two neat, clean-looking chaps. A bargain at theis present salary. Five Madcaps. On at 2.26, 14 min, full stage. This act is a very pleasant suprise to me, for they went very much better than I anticipated on account of reports I noticed from some of the other houses where they have played. They have got to be scored as a hit here without a question. The only possible fault I can find is that they may be overpaid about [illegible] 50, but when you come to compare them with the Pony Ballet at [illegible] 600, I think it well to forget about this. I have cut out the song one of them sings entirely, so as to keep the act moving at a fast pace from start to finish. Jimmie Lucas. On at 2.40, 12 min, in I. This young chap made an unqualified hit with this afternoon's audience, and had them with him from the minute the walked on the stage. While he may not be a really great entertainer, he certainly has a personality that will win out for him anywhere. He will always be a welcome visitor here. Waterbury Bros. and Tenney. On at 2.52, 16 min full stage,7 min close in I, 23 min in all. I think this trio is doing the best act I have ever seen them do. Went extremely well today. Kitty Traney. On at 3.13, 12 min, full stage. A Beautiful European novelty act that scored heavily. To anybody playing it, my recommendation is "Don't close your show with it, If you can possibly help it, for you wll lose considerable of its value by so doing".
