Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of October 21, 1907. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr. The bill this week is quite satisfactory; it is bright and snappy, blends well and should draw business. Bon Morse. Comedy bicycle tramp who introduces considerable talking in his act now. To open a continuous show, the act is all right. Can't recommend it for a great deal more than that. 12 Min. opening and closing in One, if necessary. The remainder of the act Full Stage. 3 Shows. McGrath & Paige. Man and woman do a little banjo act which gets by satisfactorily in an unimportant spot. 10 min. in One, 3 Shows. Kenney & Mollie. Two men, talking net, one a burlesque college student, These boys always do well here and this engagement is no exception to the rule. 15 Min. in One, 3 Shows. Robertson & Panchetto. Vaudeville sketch. Held its place very acceptably, singing, dancing, dialect imitations, etc. 17 Min. Full Stage, 3 Shows. Lola Cotton. Miss Cotton failed to arrive for the afternoon performance and was only able to do part of her act as the night show because of her long jump from Atlanta. In this spot she pleased altho it is not a thing that I think any of us would be very sorry for, if we lost it. It is out of the ordinary, however, and at the price, is all right to play. 15 to 20 Min. in One, 2 Shows. Four Fords. Somehow another these people failed to make their usual hit here, not scoring at all until they got down to their "challenge" dance at the finish. While this [[?]] a hit it did not go nearly as strong on former occasions. One reason for this I believe is because they are doing identically the same work they have done for two seasons past, not even changing the music excepting in their opening song. They have introduced however a couple of scenes that have no particular fitness to their act, one representing Hammerstein's'[?] Theatre, New York, and the other a plantation in the South. They add a little to the effectiveness of the act however, but I would want to see them introduce something new before I should care to play them again. 15 Min. opening in 2, 2-1/2, 3, close Full Stage, 2 Shows. Rigolette Bros. Hand balancers and aerial ladder act. Very nice novel set, very cleanly presented and pleased thoroughly. 13 Min. open in One, close Full Stage, 2 Shows. Jimmy Lucas. This fellow has a snappy manner about him, pleasant personality and as Boston remarked last week, "he has not a great deal of ability but manages to get there." For about 10 Min. he makes quite a hit, the finish of his set is a little of a let-down, but he is thoroughly all right for the money and can hold a spot of this kind very satisfactorily. 18[?] Min. in One, 2 Shows.
