(2) Kinetograph. On at 4.36, 17 min; "The Dieppe Circuit", second week of this great motor-racing film. We have cut out the preliminary scenes and now commence with the start of the race, which makes the film a sensation from the beginning. "Buying a Donkey", a very good comedy film. Chester Johnstone. On at 4.53, 10 min, full stage; 3 shows. Makes a neat appearance and does an excellent bicycle act, closing with some very good jumping stunts. Good value for the money, and will make good anywhere in an early spot. Mellamce[[?]]. On at 3.03, 11 min, in 1; 3 shows. Doing his well known clay-modelling act. He was foolish enough this afternoon to do an Irish caricature, which was greeted with several hisses, something very rarely heard in this house. Outside of this his work was very acceptable. Rado and Bertman. On at 3.14, 15 min full stage, 2 min close in 1; 17 min in all; 3 shows. A valuable 3-show act. Always get by with credit and could not fail to please in any of the smaller cities, at number one or two in this bill. Cuts:- Harry Brown. Flea story. McHamee. Irish caricature. Comment. A rattling good show, without a weak spot in it. The only criticism that can be made is that there is possibly a lack of novelty, there being nothing in the bill that hasn't been seen in this house before, and all but Asra and Johnstone within the past few months.
