PITTSBURG, PA. GRAND OPERA HOUSE. OCTOBER 14th, 07. [[underline]]CARMEN & ALDRICH[[end underline]]-3 shows. 12 minutes. Two young men who do a very good singing and dancing act-one working straight, the other black face. The eccentric dancing of this team is exceptionally good. [[underline]]MAX YORK AND DOGS[[end underline]]-9 minutes, garden. A very good act for an early place on the bill. [[underline]] THE TWO PUCKS[[end underline]] -15 minutes, olio in one. This is not a good act and I am afraid I would not want to play it a return. It surely belongs in the three day section. [[underline]]CRESSY & [[?]][[end underline]] in "The Wyoming Whoop". Special, 25 minutes. Cressy and Dayne are favorites here and I feel sure their offering this week is fully as good as any we have played. [[underline]]COUNTESS ROSSI & FRED PAULO[[end underline]]- 15 minutes, olio in one, with Mr. Paulo seated int he audience at the opening of the act. Mr. Paulo's comedy in the audience is not good. While I did not eliminate it entirely, I cut it considerable. The act goes very well. It is dressed well and the Countess has a very good voice. [[underline]]FRED WALTON & CO[[end underline]] in "Cissie's Dream"- 30 minutes, special. This is a very clever act but I think it would be much improved if he would cut at least ten minutes out of it. [[underline]]WYNN & LEWIS[[end underline]]- Singing and talking act. Street in one, 13 minutes. A very big act; went big with us. [[underline]]SONG BIRDS[[end underline]]- 30 minutes, wood, special drop. I was very much disappointed in this set. I think there is very little to it with the exception of the five minutes at the close. The comedy of Mr. Burress I think is very bad. [[?]] the act took two or three curtains at every performance, I am sure it was due wholly to the chorus. During the rest of the act there was very few laughs and the singing was very ordinary. [[underline]]AVERY & HART[[end underline]]- 18 minutes in one. Went just as big as ever. [[underline]]KITABANZAI JAPANESE TROUPE[[end underline]]- 15 minutes. Special drop. One of the best Jap acts we play. [[underline]]OVERING TRIO[[end underline]]-12 minutes, three shows. This is a clever little act and I would like to have been able to put them on about eight o'cock but owing to the length of the show I was compelled to play them earlier. [[underline]]THE BALLOTS-[[end underline]] 3 shows, 11 minutes, wood. Equilibrist. A good act for the three a day section. [[underline]]THE MARTELLIS[[end underline]]- Musical act. 3 shows, 15 minutes. A very neat little act; very good for the three a day section. John P. Harris.
