[[underline]]OCTOBER 28, 1907. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. C.E.BARNS[[end underline]] [[underline]]KENNY & HOLLIS[[end underline]],Com:- 15 min. in 1. 3 shows. On at 7:22. Two men in college costume. Make a fair opener. Their line of talk is pretty good and they work hard. Received good closing hand, with curtain call. [[underline]]ESTELLE WORDETTE,[[end underline]] (and Kusel), "A Honeymoon in the Catskills":- 10 min. FS. On at 7:37. This is the same act as presented here some months ago. There were a good many laughs throughout for the abundance of amusing lovers' quarrels and make-ups. Brings up to good finish with two curtain calls. [[underline]]FRED WATSON & MORRISEY SISTERS[[end underline]], S. & D.;- 16 min. in 1. 2 shows. on at 7:53. This is a good act altogether. Watson has not very much voice, but he has a good idea of character, and his Italian dialect song got good hand. The girls are very pretty and appear in three stunning changes of costume. The dancing of the trio is all to the good and best part of the act. Good closing hand and one curtain call. [[underline]]CHARLOTTE PARRY & CO[[end underline]],"The Comstock Mystery":- 28 min. F.S. 2 shows. on at 8:09. This act is improved since it was here last. it is now one of the most artistic and finish protean studies in Vaudeville. The finish is very pathetic and strong, closing with big hand and a curtain call. I believe there are still hundred in the audience who do not believe that Miss Parry plays the whole seven parts. [[underline]]TACIANU[[end underline]],"Female Impersonator":- 12 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:37. In some respects this is a remarkable act. Tacianu has a voice of remarkable range, or rather two ranges that of strong, deep baritone and a high soprano. Some of his high notes are very clear and beautiful, and the lower register has also remarkable depth. At the finish, when he takes off his wig, there was a big laugh and two curtain calls. As an impersonator, this man is not in Eltingo's class, but as a vocal freak he is certainly an entertaining novelty. [[underline]]ARTHUR DUNN & MARIE CLAZIER[[end underline]],"The Messenger Boy":- 16 min. in 3. 2 shows. on at 8:49. Practically the same actas presented here before. Went just as strong and pleased our audience. There is abundant comedy of Dunn's particular brand and kept the audience in good humor. Closed well. [[underline]]ANCELLOTTI & "PILU"[[end underline]],Mind-reading Dog:- 11 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:06. This is a decided novelty. The dog's work is remarkable. His master speaks English very brokenly, and as he circulates among the audience, keeps up a running fire of amusing talk. This is not the least pleasing feature of the act. The dog is a phenomenon and the finish seems to be very happy at his delivery. Big hand at close. [[underline]]MILLIE LINDON[[end underline]],Comedienne:- 16 min. in 1. Open F.S. On at 9:16. 2 shows. This English singer certainly lives up to her billing. She is all daintiness and charm. It took the audience a little time to appreciate her, as they expected something more spectacular and of the Music Hall order: but after the second song, she had them strong and carried them through to a very fine close, with four curtain calls. Each one of the songs was fully appreciated. She will be one of the most talked-about women in Phila. before the week is out.
