PITTSBURG, PA. GRAND OPERA HOUSE. NOVEMBER 4th, 07. [[underline]]SCOTT & WHALEY[[end underline]]-18 minutes, street. 3 shows. Colored singing, dancing and talking act. Very fair act for the three show section. [[underline]]SELBINI & GROVINI[[end underline]]- Garden. 11 minutes. Novelty acrobat, juggling and bicycle act. The work of the woman, Grovini, is particularly good-more especially the bicycling. She does all the understand business and does it with grace and agility. The act was a surprising hit at all performances . [[underline]]ROONEY SISTERS[[end underline]]- 10 minutes. Olio. A very neat singing and dancing set. Does very well for [[?]] an early place in the two show section. [[underline]]CAPT. GEG.[[?]] AUGER & CO.[[end underline]] in "Jack the Giant [[?]]". 26 min. Interior. This act surely does help the matinees and goes big even at the night performances. While the act is anything but good, the freak end makes it a big success and I will be glad to play them a return very late in the season . [[underline]]KELLY & ROSE[[end underline]]- 15 minutes. Olio. I think one of the best singing acts in the business. [[underline]]ELLA SNYDER & CO[[end underline]].-[[?]] in one, special drop, then to garden, special. Time of act 25 minutes. This act is entirely too long and would be much improved if seven or eight minutes were cut out. The idea is very good-introducing singing and talking with a little comedy. The voices are far from being great. Miss Snyder is a handsome girl and dresses well but is not a good singer. The act just about gets by now but I feel sure that with a few weeks work it will be very good. [[underline]]HERBERT CYRIL[[end underline]]- 15 minutes, street[[?]]. "The London Johnnie". The best value for the money we have ever played. He is on at 9:30 and going very big. [[underline]]JOHN[[?]] C. RISE & SALLY COHEN[[?]][[end underline]] in "A Bachelor's Wife". 25 min. Interior. A very good act and going big-; I think it the equal of any of his acts. [[underline]]CARRIE DEWAR[[?]]-[[end underline]] 17 minutes in one. Introducing a rain effect in one of her songs that goes very big. Her "Lonesome Fluffy Ruffles[[?]]" is as good as anything I have ever seen in one. She is a big hit here and I feel sure she is drawing us money. [[underline]]THE BALTUS[[?]] TROUPE[[end underline]]- Acrobats. 10 minutes. Palace. Different from others we have played, and exceptionally good. [[underline]]THE MUSICAL SHIRLEYS[[end underline]]- 16 minutes. 3 shows. Will do for an early place among the three a days. [[underline]]THE ABBOTTS & CO[[end underline]].- 3 shows. Presenting a dramatic sketch entitled "The Little Leading Lady". The only excuse for this act is to introduce a child, Frances Abbott, whose talents are not conspicuous- [[?]] brilliant. The act is poorly put together and more poorly acted. [[underline]]FONISTINI[[?]][[end underline]]- Woman contortionist. 9 min. Her work is better than the average but she lacks style and finish. When she acquires this it will be a very good specialty. John P. Harris.
