Phila.-2. PICCHIANI TROUPE, Acro:- 10 min. F.S. 2 shows. Five women and three men. Certainly a great acrobatic act, with a strong finish. The costuming is very fetching and there is a continental finish about the act that makes it a sure winner, with no discount. The closing feats were skilful but very amusing and got the house big. CARSON & WILLARD, German Com:-18 min. in 1. 2 shows. Big advance hand. Introduced a lot of new material. Probably as popular as any two comedians in the business. Their parodies went so strong that the audience would not let them stop. Their encores were particularly applauded and got three calls. OUR BOYS IN BLUE:- 16 min. F.S. 2 shows. As a closing feature for any house, this act is simply great. The drilling is remarkably skilful and swift of action, but the special novelties, (including the work with the Gatling gun, the sinking of a gun boat, the signal lights, and all the other military specialties,) added thrilling interest to the act and won tremendous applause. there is no doubt that this act will be talked about and bring a great many people to the theatre who enjoy something that is thrilling, spectacular and patriotic. Went with a hurrah and sent people out happy. KINETOGRAPH:- IRISH SCENES & TYPES:- Interesting travel film. BUYING A DONKEY:-Good comedy series. Altogether the KINETOGRAPH series is O.K. FRITZ'S DOGS:-14 min. F.S. 3 shows. The regulation dog act with four fox terriers and two other dogs. Do some very good tricks in balancing, somersault work and jumping from high pedestal. Would make an acceptable opener KATHRYN BARTLETT:-Voc:- 8 min. in 1. 3 shows. Sang two songs to fair applause. Two changes of costume. Just an ordinary straight singing act. THE ABBOTTS:-20 min. F.S. 3 shows: Three people, man, woman and little girl. There is nothing in this act but the child, who is a very promising little girl. She does impersonations and sings and dances. Just about filled place. HENRY T. WAITE:-Violinist:- 11 min. in 1. 3 shows. This is an exceptional act. The work entitles him to a very much better place on bill. It is strong in novelty and he thoroughly understands his business. He is very well worth giving encouragement. Received the best applause of any three-a-day act that we have on the bill, and that is saying a good deal, for our three-a-day section is particularly well fortified this week. GENERAL REMARKS:- This is a strong show and one in which the press and public agree is a winner. It is certainly a stronger show than the opposition, even with Louis Mann thrown in. BRANSBY WILLIAMS is as strong in his line as Mae de LUSSAN was in hers last week. MARCEL is holding his own
