(2) W. H. Thompson and Co. On at 3.27, 24 min, full stage. Playing "For Love's Sweet Sake", one of the best sketches i have ever seen in vaudeville. It is full of clever lines. The light comedy of the first half is followed naturally by the pathos of the finish. Of course it goes without saying that it is well acted, particularly so on the part of Mr. Thompson. "Pilu". On at 3.31, 11 min, in 1. An out-of-the-ordinary act that made a big hit this afternoon. The dog performs wonderfully well, while Professor Ancilotti's methods of working in the audience get a lot of laughs. 2 minutes wait, to strike and set. Zelie de Lussan. On at 4.04, 13 min, in 1 1/2. I think I am safe in saying that Mlle. de Lussan is the best singer we have ever had in vaudeville. I do not think it would be possible to find a "classier" feature. She is bound to be a great card for us this week. As headliners' salaries are today, she is certainly a bargain here. The re-arrangement of the bill will enable us to give her a set in 2 1/2. Wotpert Trio. On at 4.17, 10 min, full stage; circus set. An extremely good acrobatic act. They do a lot of novel stuff. The Novellos. On at 4.27, 13 min, full stage; circus set. An act that will cause a great amount of talk wherever it plays. With its two elephants, two ponies, dogs and acrobats, it makes a miniature circus. One of the best children's features i have ever seen. It bears the stamp of individuality and novelty. As will be noticed, we are playing the Wotperts and this act in the same set. The Wotperts were on first this afternoon, but commencing tonight they will follow The Novellos on account of the parade feature of the latter act. Kinetograph. On at 4.40, 25 min. "Paul Revere's Ride"- second week; particularly good on account of local interest. "In Seville"- a capital "travel" film; very interesting. Reed Brothers. On at 5.03, 14 min, full stage. Can open in 1 about 2 min, if necessary. This is Reed, of the old team of Reed & Shaw, who is working with a new man on account of the death of his former partner. This is a rattling novelty acrobatic act, one that will score on any bill. A bargain at the price asked, $125. Anybody who wants an acrobatic act for comparatively small money, one that is a sure-fire hit, should keep this in mind. regret in connection with this case is that I was instrumental in getting Wesson several weeks' work.
