(3) Parson Sisters. On at 5.19, open in 1, 4 min, close in 2, 8 min; 12 min in all. It is possible for them to do their entire act in 1. Two rather pretty and neatly-costumed girls whose work is rather amateurish. I think them hardly strong enough to hold a spot in any of the 2-a-day houses, but will get by as a 3-a-day. Cuts:- Carroll and Baker. "Affinity" joke. Mark Sullivan. "Bath-tub" squib. Comment. A corking good show. It contains several acts new to this house, a sufficient quantity of comedy, and, as re-arranged, balances well. The re-arrangement is as follows: A Overture B Leo St. Elmo C James and Jenny Jee D Carroll and Baker E "The Pianophiends" F Mark Sullivan G Zelie de Lussan H "Pilu" I W. H. Thompson and Co. J Lillian Shaw K The Novellos L Wotpert Trio M Kinetograph N Reed Brothers O Parson Sisters P Alpha Trio NOTE. Wesson, Walters and Wesson. This team signed a contract to do 3 shows a day. Wesson wrote me a couple of letters, telling me what a hit the act was and asking me to arrange matters so that he could do 2 shows, of which letters I took no notice whatsoever. He came in and rehearsed this morning, found out he had number two on the bill, and decided he would not work, stating he did not care if it would cost him all the time he had booked. It goes without saying that the gentleman's cranium is considerably inflated. My only regret in connection with this case is that I was instrumental in getting Wesson several weeks' work.
