Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of Nov. 18, 1907. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) The show this week is not nearly up to the standard of what we have been giving this season. Comparatively, the little end of the show is the best. The "feature" act didn't come up to what I expected, by any means, and I shall have to request that no more girl acts be booked here unless I am first consulted and see them for myself before placing them. Ellen Richards. Wire act. Very good for an unimportant place, in fact good enough to open the show in the smaller 2-a-day houses. 8 Min. in 3, 3 Shows. Marie Laurens. I had Miss Laurens in a more important position, but the audience guyed her so that I was obliged to move her up, this not only from the Gallery, but from down-stairs as well and really I don't blame them for she is very bad. Her act ran very long on account of some imitations that she put in which I was obliged to cut out, and now have her down to three songs. 10 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. McCarvers. Good lively colored act that pleased the audience first rate. 12 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Meeh International Trio. Well-known act, feats of strength principally, which is mighty good in its class. 12 Min. Full Stage, 3 Shows. Brooks & Jeanette. These people pleased first rate altho hardly as good as I would like to have in just this spot. 17 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Holden's Manikins. This act is too well-known to require comment, suffice to say that it made a hit. 20 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Fentelle & Carr. Two men, talking act, one as a tramp, the other, straight Carry their own scenery, freight-car and station. This is a fairly good act, gets by all right in the early 2-a-day section. 17 Min. 2 Shows. Lamberti. Musical mimic. This man does a high-grade act impersonating well-known musicians, playing violin, 'cello, and piano. One of the best acts on the bill. 22 Min. open Full Stage, close in 1, 2 Shows. Byron & Langdon. Well-known act "The Dude Detective" which was the hit of the show. 23 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Swor Bros. These men pleased only mildly, not going nearly as well as last season. I don't like the act much better than the audience did. 20 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Sis English Rockers. This act is really a very pretty one, Miss Floreded has a good voice and what little dancing the girls do is quite well done, but they can't sing. The scenery is in fairly good condition, the costumes, pretty. As a whole it is quite a novelty, but failed to make much of an impression upon the audience who let them go with very scant applause. By no means worth the money in this house. 15 Min Full Stage, 2 Shows. Bobby North. Hebrew comedian. In a very late spot he did fairly well. With the show running earlier, I think he will improve. Did not go very strongly this afternoon, however. 15 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Wotpert Trio. This act is a decided novelty. They do some very unusual feats which were appreciated by those who remained to see them. As the show ran late and North couldn't hold them a great many got away. 10 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Motion Pictures. O. K.
