3- Phila. with the fire-brands was very spectacular. The feat of catching apples thrown from the balcony and caught on the fork held in the teeth got a good deal of laughter and applause. Close very well with two curtain calls. KINETOGRAPH:- MIDNIGHT RIDE OF PAUL REVERE:- One of the best films we have ever run. It is pretty nearly perfect in photography and from the matter of history and dramatic interest very interesting. It received applause considering that the public is blase' about moving-pictures. MY MOTHER IN LAW IS AN ANGLE:- Good comedy film. DOROTHY KENTON, Banjoiste:- 12 min. in 1. 3 shows. On at 6:35. Absolutely the best woman soloist on the banjo I have ever heard. She got the supper crowd fairly going, each selection winning big applause. An encore and two curtain calls at the finish. This act is worthy of a good place in the two-a-day section. Miss Kenton is very pretty, winsome of manner and dresses fetchingly. Her place on the bill this week was unavoidable as it was impossible to make a shift without conflicting with other musical features in the early section.- THE KALMOS, dancers:- 12 min. F. S. 3 shows. On at 6:47. This act has a very foreign flavor and consists of various Scotch national dances. It went fairly well, but could not hold a very important spot on the bill. MALVERNE & THOMAS, S. & D.:- 12 min. in 1. 3 shows. On at 6:59. Two quite pretty girls who sing fairly well and dance much better. Could hold a good spot in the three-a-day section. toe-dancing the best feature of the act. GENERAL REMARKS:- This is a very strong show and I could quote a dozen flattering lines from a dozen newspapers to that effect. there was no falldown on the bill, and the supper section is quite the strongest we have ever had. Business will no doubt be excellent for the balance of the week with such attractions as these.- CUTS AND OBJECTIONS:- JULIUS TANNEN:- reference to "teacher laying eggs on table."-
