Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of December 16, 1907. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) The show this week is hardly as good as I hoped for and expected. Two or three of the biggest acts are all right, but the remainder of it is rather disappointing. De Voie Trio. Ring act. Good 3-a-day turn. 10 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Hagan & Westcott. Man and woman who make a very neat appearance, fair voices, who would probably be all right in the 2d spot in the smaller 2-a-day houses. 13 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Doomsday." Am sorry to say that this act is not at all fitted for vaudeville and am obliged to relegate it to a buried position in the show. 18 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Roberts Children. Two local children, one aged five years who plays the violin quite well for one so young and one fifteen years old who is quite a remarkable pianist - both of them girls. They went very strongly with yesterday's afternoon and evening audiences. 18 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. McNamee. Clay modeller. Well-known act, did fairly well. 10 Min. in 2, 3 Shows. Sabrey D'Orsell. Soprano singer singing Scotch songs. Miss D'Orsell is a very pretty little woman and a very good voice. The songs didn't seem to reach for some reason or other and the act was a little bit of a disappointment. 10 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Zanettos. Three men. Lively juggling act with a sprinkling of comedy. The act made good thoroughly. 12 Min. Full Stage, can do a short close in 1, if required. 2 Shows. Jack Gardner. Mr. Gardner didn't do as well as he has on previous appearances in this house, his material doesn't seem to be up to what he formerly had. I would want to see the act before booking it again. 17 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Callahan & St. Geo. After having had Callahan & Mack several times (who were very strong favorites in this town) the act in its present shape hardly satisfies. I can't say that Miss St. George is at all bad in the act, in fact she is rather good, but she by no means replaces Mr. Mack and on account of the familiarity of the audience with the older offering, this one fell short. 20 Min. F. S. 2 Shows. Murray Sisters. Two very attractive young women, who, while they have not particularly good voices, make up for this in personality, magnetism and attractive dressing. They were quite a hit with yesterday's audience. 18 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Mr. & Mrs. Sydney Drew & Co. In "Billy's Toombstones". This act is too well known to need comment and it is probably unnecessary to say it was the hit of the show. I don't believe I ever saw a better sketch in vaudeville. 20 Min. Full Stage. 2 Shows. Hawthorn & Burt. Well-known comedy talking act, one "straight" the other "Hebrew". Held their own in good style altho they were not a knock-out hit. 14 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Rosaire & Doretto. Replacing Rice & Prevost, Rice having hurt his arm Sunday night in Boston and was unable to appear. Rosaire & Doretto went on at the night show for the first time and scored quite strongly. 10 Min. F. S. 2 Shows. Motion Pictures. O. K.
