BROWN & NEVARRO:- 16 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:00. This is a very good colored team. Their character impersonations are novel and there are plenty of them, including Italian, Indian and Chinese. Each one of the songs and impersonations showed good character study and received good applause. Made an excellent finish with three curtain calls. These people could hold a difficult spot on the bill. KITTY TRANEY:- 12 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 9:16. Comes on the stage in a little flowery jinriksha drawn by a pretty pony which does one or two little stunts and is unharnessed. Miss Traney then balances the cart on her chin. Afterwards she proceeds to some juggling of plates, balls and balancing a large bottle which, upon pulling a string, falls apart and discloses a little dog, which then performs. After this the pony reappears, while Miss Traney does the Lalla Selvini act by disrobing to fleshlings, juggling with her costume. The dog reappears and does some stunts through the hoops. The decorated cart is brought back again drawn by the pony with two hoops tied to his front feet through which two little dogs jump in very expert manner while the pony moves around the stage. The pony then walks off the stage on his hind feet, Miss Traney driving the cart making a pretty picture. Closed good. WALTER C. KELLY:- 22 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:28. This is Kelly's home-town and he has been extensively advertised. He received a big hand and made a little preliminary speech. His Virginia Judge has been revised and it is now a classic. The laughs were constant and sometimes stopped the act. Kelly will draw business to the house this week. He stands alone in his line. CLARENCE WILBUR CO:- 30 min. F.S. close in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:50. This is a country school act which has been reported on previously. there is abundant good music in the act and humor of the kind that appeals to the gallery. The act as I saw it at Wilmington was rather rough, but the edges have been toned down. The lines are clever. It is the kind of humor that is easily appreciated. There were a good many laughs throughout the act and the close in one was good, and brought two curtain calls. ELLIS-NOWLAN TROUPE:- 12 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 10:20. Well known acrobatic act, including the slapstick, the burlesque circus-horse and rider,- and all the rest. Makes a good closer. Plenty of laughs and stiff closer.- KINETOGRAPH:- FISHERIES IN SICILIY:- Very interesting travel film. THE ELEXIR OF STRENGTH:- With a slight expurgation this film made good. THE NOHRENS:-10 min. F.S. 3 shows. On at 6:40. Double trapeze act. This is a skilful and showy act and ought to make a good opener if necessary. Man and woman, both doing the regulation stunts on the circus order. Received good hand for their work throughout and closed well. DUDLEY & CHESLYN:- 14 min. inl. 3 shows. On at 6:50. Man and woman. This is a good standard three-a-day act, both making fair appearance and sing well. GENERAL REMARKS:- A good ante-holiday bill. As re-arranged it plays off smoothly and well. Edwards Davis had a little difficulty at first with his set which is very elaborate and beautiful, but succeeded in making the quick change necessary to the success of his act. Press and public seem to be satisfied with the show which is without a weak spot.-
