132 Columbus, Show Week December 16th. -- 07. ---- W. W. Prosser. GREAT SCOTT: "The Ladder King." Novelty not: man does balancing on ladder and juggling. -- All of his feats are well executed and the act made a favorable impression. -- A very good opener. 10 Minutes Terrace 3. CLIFFORD & BURKE: The Minstrel Boys. -- Our audience does not seem to care for this act to any extent. -- They went about the same as last season which was only fair. -- It strikes me that they waste a great deal of time in unnecessary talk in which no especial points are made. The singing and dancing takes well enough but their talk seems to put a damper on the other efforts. 21 minutes in one. ALFRED KELCY & CO. "Comedy Sketch" 'A Tale Of A Turkey' -- Man and woman. This act fooled me. -- It looked awfully blue during the early part of same and I thought it was to be a failure but finally things were worked up considerably and the act finished very satisfactorily. Nothing out of the ordinary in either the offering or the people as they present it and would only term it of fair value. 20 minutes plain interior. TACIANU: Female impersonator: This act went well and at the finish a good solid hand was given. -- His natural voice is very pleasing but not so much can be said for the freak end of same. 10 minutes in one. SHRODE & MULVEY: "Billy & The Actress" -- Comedy sketch. A pair of good dancers but that is about all. The talking end of their act is hardly worth while. -- They made a fairly good impression. 13 minutes C.D. F. JULIUS TANNEN: Easily the hit of the bill. -- A very clever fellow who went big. -- He is as good as ever and undoubtedly in a class of his own as a single entertainer. --I think he will become a standard favorite here as many people remember him from last season and he received a reception upon his entrance. 19 minutes in one. GASTON & GREENE: "Bits Of Musical Comedy." -- A pretty good act but another case of time being uselessly takes up with pointless talk. -- The singing is passable and the act got by well enough at the finish. 15 minutes Landscape in one. HOLLOWAY TROUPE: Wire artists: Three people and a cracking good act which I think suffered as a closer for the reason that the show is very quiet all through and hardly wakes them up sufficiently to maintain interest. Am going to place Gaston & Greene earlier on the bill tonight and Tannen before this act to see if I cannot get a stronger finish. -- I think this will help the Holloways who are really of unusual merit. 18 minutes palace. Pictures: O. K.
