Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of December 23, 1907. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) I shall never ask for a better bill than the one we are presenting here this week. It is giving absolute satisfaction to the public, newspapers and everyone concerned. Evans Trio. Two men and a woman, in a little sketch in which they make up as children. It is a very good little act from the 3-a-day standpoint and made good in this position thoroughly. 20 Min. using their own scenery opening in 2, closing in 1, 3 Shows. Bernier & Stella. Man and woman, well-known singing act with a little dancing. Always satisfactory if not depended upon for too much. 10 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Gorman & West. One of our standard 3-a-day acts that gave as good satisfaction as usual. 15 Min. open in 3, close in 1, 3 Shows. Pelots. Another of our regular acts that is always welcome, can be depended upon to get by even in the early 2-a-day section. 18 Min. open in 3, close in 1, 3 Shows. Galletti's Monkeys. This is a very good monkey act, plenty of comedy, pleased thoroughly. 16 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Leon Rogee. Imitations of musical instruments and whistler. This man has a pleasant personality and his imitations are probably the best I ever heard. He made an unqualified hit. 10 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Brown, Harris & Brown. The same old story, the same big hit, altho really I don't know why. 27 Min. open Full Stage, close in 1, On a pinch can open and close in 1, 2 Shows. Valerie Bergere & Co. In a dramatic sketch, "The Morning After The Play." This is a very good sketch, Miss Bergere plays it very well indeed.-In fact I never knew her to make a bigger hit than she did with yesterday's audiences. 24 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Mignonette Kokin. Singing and dancing and changes of costume using moving pictures during changes showing her in her dressing room. Her work is excellent, she made a big hit. Thoroughly qualified to hold this position. 12 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. The Song Birds. I have never heard more spontaneous or greater applause given any act than was given this on the finale. It is an act that is bound to draw money. Already it is the talk of the town. In spite of this I want to say that the act could be materially improved by much less talk (that amounts to little) and much more singing which amount to a great deal, because they have the voices to do it. I can't understand why they continued the act in its present shape when it could be easily improved so greatly. However it will draw the money and there is no kick coming. 32 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Wynn & Lewis. College boy dualogue. One of them is exceedingly funny and the other a very good "straight" man. They held their own in good shape altho I am inclined to think the act is dragged out a little too long. 22 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Sandwinas. Man and woman hand balancing, the woman doing the understanding. She is a real marvel, the ease with which she balances a man who weighs at least 160 lbs. is most remarkable. She is a magnificent specimen of womanhood and will, no doubt, attract the men in large numbers. 8 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows.
