150 N. S. HASTINGS. Cleveland, Ohio. Dec. 30 '07. ROBINSON, PARQUETTE Trio (Coons.) In One. Two men (One comedy, one straight) and woman. Time 15. The act opens with some very poor comedy. Then comes a solo which is fair. There is a quick change and some Zulu-costume singing and dancing which is good and winds the act up with considerable applause. Medium opener. RIGOLETTO BROTHERS F.S. Palace. 2 men. time 12. Revolving ladder acrobatics and hand balancing. A neat act of its kind, unique and surprising all the time. Nothing at all sensational, but interesting and clever. BILLY VAN Black face. In One. Time 17. Same old Billy with the same funny voice and some new jokes. He went with a scream this afternoon. Encore. JOSEPH F SHEEHAN Operatic tenor. Open C.D.F. Close in One. time 10. Mr Sheehan has a beautiful voice and shows good sense in adding to his classical repertoire some of the old and popular melodies. He is a great favorite in Cleveland, and went very strongly this afternoon. 2 encores. HENRY HORTON & CO. Horton, Louise Hardenburg, and James O'Neil. Open in one (special drop), close in three, interior special rustic set. Presenting "Uncle Lem's Dilemma." This is a clever rustic comedy, in two scenes, full of good lines and laughable situations. The one or two little dips into pathos ring true. A decided hit. Two encores. SMITH & CAMPBELL 2 men. Time 18. In one. One of the funniest talking acts in vaudeville. They kept the audience applauding all the time. They are great. Called back. FOUR FORDS. 2 girls, 2 men. Open in two, close F.S. Time 14. This is a wonderfully finished and excellently executed dancing novelty. It is fast, neat, and daintily dressed. Best dancing seen in Cleveland all season. STELLA MAYHEW. Assisted by Billee Taylor (Who sits with the orchestra and sings one song well.) In One. Time 21. Miss Mayhew is funny. She sings character songs perfectly, has keen comedy talk, and her impersonations got away from the cut and dried. She was the big hit of the show, which is "going some" this afternoon. The audience apparently couldn't get enough of her. One of the few comediennes that come up to the advance billing. ROSSI AND "EMIR", (Musical Horse.) F.S. Time 13. The horse is the whole show and saves Rossi's bad comedy from pickling the act. A woman also has a little to do. "Emir" holds the people in their seats in great shape, in spite of the lateness of the house (4.50 P.M.) The horse plays several instruments with apparent understanding, and puts on one or two comedy stunts such as smiling and laughing and knocking Rossi about the stage. It's a great animal feature. THE KINETOGRAPH. The show as a whole made a big hit.
