(2) Romany Opera Company. On at 3.58; open 3 min in 1, 20 min full stage, close 6 min in 1; 29 min in all. The greatest vocal organization it has ever been my pleasure to hear in vaudeville. This troupe is now a combination of the best voices of the romany and Zingari companies. It fairly pulled the people out of their seats this afternoon. Heras Family. On at 4.25, 7 min, full stage. A really great gymnastic act. It is well costumed and its nine members make a great front. Exclusive of Florence Metzetti's triple somersault, I think it superior to the Metzetti Troupe. The Kinetograph. On at 4.32, 24 min. "With Rear Admiral Evans' Fleet at Hampton Roads"; very timely film. "His First Row"; a very good comic. "The Tulips"; one of the finest colored pictures i have ever seen. These three pictures make a capital representative showing, for we have the timely picture, the comedy picture and the thing of beauty. It certainly fits this program splendidly. La Nole Brothers. On at 4.56, 9 min, full stage. A well known high-bar and tramplin act that is thoroughly capable of opening almost any show and can close the bill in many of the smaller cities with credit. Dudley and Cheslyn. On at 5.05, 15 min, in 1, 3 shows. Man and woman in a very good singing act that would hold an early spot in many of the 2-a-day houses. Miss Cheslyn is rather a clever Irish comedienne. Charles Frederick. On at 5.20, 15 min, full stage. An old-time magician, who fills the spot all right. Cuts:- Caron and Herbert. Kick in seat. Instructed not to slide trousers up and down leg, and omit slap on calf. Comment. This show was put together as a bill designed to be thoroughly representative of the vaudeville of today, in honor of Mr. B. F. Keith's 25th anniversary as an amusement manager in the city of Boston. Could I have had my original selection of Thompson's Elephants, in place of the Heras Family, and been able to let the Lasky Quintette out of the bill, for I would have had plenty of show without it, I think that we would have a stronger and better balanced show. However, as it is, it must be ranked as a great show. It has been re-arranged to run as follows: A Overture; B Clarence Sisters; C Caron and Herbert; D Lasky Quintette; E Cooper and Robinson; F Bessie Wynn; G Heras Family; H Romany Opera Co.; I Bert Levy; J Walter C. Kelly, K White and Stuart; L Kinetograph; M La Nole Bros.; N Dudley and Cheslyn; O Charles Frederick; P Ed Estus.
