2.- Phila. ROMANY OPERA COMPANY "Gypsy Life":- 22 min. F.S Open and Close in 1. On at 9:21. Advance hand. this is a splendid act,- one of the best musical combinations ever heard in Vaudeville. Each one of the selections got immense hand. The little soprano sings like a bird,- in fact, they are all well trained and well selected. this act is sure to be a big hit here. MAREENA, NEVARRA & MAREENA, Acrobatic:- 10 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 9:43 Three men, two working straight and the other eccentric, all of them skilful and clever. The comedy is good and the feats exceptionally brilliant. Very much improved since last time here. Big applause after each one of their difficult feats. Rousing big hand at the finish, and curtain call. This act can hold any spot when a finished athletic feature is wanted.- R. G. KNOWLES, Mono:- 17 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:53. Advance hand. Made a decided hit. His line of talk is very bright. Both the talking and the singing won big. His method of delivery is original and snappy, and keeps the audience in laughter from the first to the last. Finished with two curtain calls and speech.- DELMORE & LEE, "Study in Black and White":- 12 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 10:10: Very daring and difficult work on revolving ladder against a black blackground. Very novel and interesting act. Each one of the feats got good applause. Closed strong with curtain call. KINETOGRAPH:- FIGHTING BOB EVANS:- Very timely and beautiful series which received applause,- rather seldom occurrance here. 2. HIS FIRST ROW:- Good comedy film, received plenty of laughs. 3. ATHLETIC AMERICAN GIRLS:- This is a substitute film, but its good. THE TRILLERS, Rag-Pictures:- 15 min. F.S. 3 shows. On at 6:38. Two men, one working straight and the other eccentric. Make pictures with rags on a large frame. Each picture got fair hand. The novelty of the act is what holds the interest. The comedy is quite shy. Makes an acceptable act.- LONNIE FOLLETT:- Imitations:- 15 min. in 1. 3 shows. On at 6:53. Imitations of Vesta Tilley, Vesta Victoria, Anna Held, Albert Chevalier, which were fair, and each one got mild applause. The lad will make his mark all right, but just at the present time he cannot more than hold an obscure spot.- GENERAL REMARKS: BYRON & LANGDON were cancelled owing to illness. This upset the bill for Monday, but on Tuesday the program was re-arranged and JULIA REDMOND & COMPANY were substituted. The hits of the bill were ROMANY OPERA COMPANY, R. G. KNOWLES, CARRIE De MAR, MAREENA, NEVEARRO & MAREENA, all in their order. The ROMANY OPERA COMPANY will be undoubtedly our strongest drawing-card. It is really a very strong bill from every standpoint.- CUTS & OBJECTIONS:- HILL & HILL (Colored):- Joke about "white woman marrying me," etc.)-
