UNION SQUARE CRITICISM-----WEEK OF JAN. 27th, 1908. JAMES A WELCH AND COMPANY In "Tim Flannigan's Flirtation." This is a bad act, and it didn't receive a hand this afternoon. 20 minutes, full stage. Three shows. MORTON, TEMPLE AND MORTON In A Comedy Talking, Singing, Dancing and Acrobatic act. Two men and a woman. This is a well known three a day act, and everytime it comes here it goes fairly well. 16 minutes, full stage and close in one. Three shows. THE HEALYS Refined Comedy Sketch Artists. Man and woman. The man is a very good piano player, and he is a fair singer. The woman is good looking and sings very well indeed. Went good. 19 minutes, full stage and close in one. Three shows. CLARENCE SISTERS "The Australian Nuggets." Two girls in a refined Singing and dancing Act. They are both good looking and they make a neat appearance on the stage. Their singing and dancing is good. Went very well. 10 minutes in one. Three shows. SHIELD AND RODGERS Expert Lasso Throwers. Two men, one dressed up as a cowboy and the other an Indian. This is an excellent act, and it went very well. 10 minutes, full stage. Two shows. JOLLY JOHN LARKINS In a character, singing and dancing act. This colored man has a very good voice, and he made three character changes of costume all of which were good. Went very well. 14 minutes in one. MAYME GEHRUE AND COMPANY In "June." This is not a bad act, but it is overpaid. Miss Gehrue sang one song and did a little dancing all of which is fair, but the comedy in the act is good. Went very well. 20 minutes, full stage. BROWN AND NEVARRO, Character singers and dancers. Colored man and woman. They are both good singers and dancers, and they went very well this afternoon. 19 minutes in one. EDWIN FORSBERG AND COMPANY In "The Card Party." Two men and two women. Mr. Forsburg is a very clever actor, and he is supported by an excellent company. This is a very good act, and it certainly got good applause at the finish of the act. Went very well. 27 minutes, full stage. 201 CLARICE VANCE "The Southern Singer." No need for any comment, as she is very well known. Went very well. 10 minutes in one. ROBERT L. DAILEY AND COMPANY In "Fun On A Trolley."
