Report on Columbus Show, Week Jany. 27th. -- 08. W. W. Prosser. JUNG SAING: The Devil Dandy: Contortionist with special setting and a very good act. -- While it did not go big he got by satisfactorily the finish was O. K. for an opener. 11 minutes. IRVING JONES: He sang four songs and just about got through with them and that was about all. -- A little surprised that he did not go better for "coon" acts are usually strong here. -- He worked hard enough but for some reason did not seem to hit them right. -- He finished just fair. 15 minutes. BARRY & HALVERS: Man and woman in a variety act that is ordinary. -- The man did well enough but the woman, excepting her looks, did not contribute to the act to any great extent. -- 20 minutes C. D. F. THE FADETTES: Just a great big hit. 30 minutes. WELCH MEALY & MONTROSE: The went like a fire and scored point after point in rapid succession. It certainly proved to be a "big scream" as per billing. 17 minutes in one. BROWN, HARRIS & BROWN: Following the act preceding they had a little work in getting things coming right but they finally did and the finish was all that could be desired. 27 minutes Palace and one. WILLIE PANTZER TROUPE: This is an act of very unusual merit and it made good this afternoon. -- The various tricks are out of the ordinary and most excellently performed. -- The audience this afternoon was decidedly cold and several of the best feats were passed by by it. -- I feel however that this act will create talk of a favorable kind. Nothing better than this act for comedy acrobatic balancing etc. has been seen here. 10 minutes Garden. Pictures: O. K. 204.
