208. UNION SQUARE CRITICISM-----WEEK OF FEB. 3rd, 1908. KIMBALL AND LEWIS Grotesque Acrobatic Contortion Comedy, Pantomime and singing sketch. Man and woman. The man is a good acrobat, but his comedy is no good. The woman is a very good contortionist, and she is a fair singer. This act is all right to open the show. Went fair. 14 minutes, full stage. Three shows. GILBERT & GEAR Hebrew Comedians. This act went on during the supper show last night. Their parodies is only fair, but they have no good material, and their dancing is no good. 12 minutes in one. Three shows. BEN BEYER & BROTHER Comedy Bicycle Act. This is a good three a day act. Mr. Beyer does some good tricks on the bicycle, and he is assisted by a boy. The boy is only fair. The comedy in the act is good. Went very well. 12 minutes, full stage. Three shows. MARTIN BROS. Expert Xylophone Soloists. This is a very good act. They are playing the same selections, as when I saw them here last, and they always seem to make good. Went very well. 14 minutes in one. Two shows. MADDEN AND FITZPATRICK COMPANY In "The Turn of the Tide." This is an excellent act. This sketch held the attention of the audience throughout. Mr. Madden Can certainly play the piano. Went very well. 24 minutes, full stage. Two shows. LaVELLE [???] The Harpist and the Singer. Two girls. They are Both good looking and make a neat appearance on the stage.
