(2) several changes in her repertoire of songs, received a very warm reception and the audience would have been pleased to have more from her. Mr. Hymack. On at 3.55, 8 min, full stage. Oh! that we could have him a second week. Novelties of this kind, that make people talk are extremely valuable to us. He will have the whole town asking "How does he do it?" I agree with Mr. Lovenberg in his statement that the audiences pay no attention whatsoever to his patter, and if he had the brightest material in the world it would be absolutely lost, for the people become so interested in his changes that they don't hear a word he is saying. Searl and Violet Allen and Company. On at 4.03, 16 min, in 1; special. Went extremely well in this hard spot today, in fact it is one of the few acts in vaudeville that could hold up this show in this place. It is action from start to finish. The Josettis and Their Liliputians. On at 4.19, 11 min, full stage. Without question one of the greatest acrobatic acts this country has ever seen. It is pretty nearly high-line among this season's importations. I have spent a half-hour trying to re-arrange my bill so as to put it in the heart of the show, instead of using it to close with, but find myself unable to do so. This is another act that I really would like to have for a second week. Kinetograph. On at 4.30, 27 min. "Going To Switzerland"; one of the best films of the season, so good that I shall retain it for a second week. "A Bewitched Son-in-Law"; an excellent comic. "The Intermittent Alarm Clock"; a very good comic. Black and Miller. On at 4.57, 12 min, full stage; 3 shows. An excellent acrobatic comedy act, good enough to play at 2 and 8 in this house. Good value for the smaller cities. Will and Mabel Casper. On at 5.09, 14 min, in 1; 3 shows. Rather amateurish, but what can you expect for fifty dollars? I think I will suggest to them that the woman wear a long dress in place of the soubrette skirt she is wearing now, as it would be more in harmony with the character she is playing, and it would also cover up a pair of "unbeautiful" limbs. Juggling Almer. On at 5.23, 9 min, in 1, 3 shows. An excellent comedy juggler. What I have said about the value of Black and Miller goes for him also. Cuts: 3 Nightingales. Cut semblance of intoxication in song. Harry Tighe and Co. Instructed not to throw sofa-pillow into audience. Instructed to omit word "spray" and business connected with it. The Caspers. Instructed not to use the name of the Deity, nor that of a Boston business house. Comment. One of the best shows of the season, if not the very best. Every act in the 2-show section can be classed as a hit. Shall be greatly disappointed if we do not do a very large business.
