210. Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence, R. I., Week of February 3, 1908. (Chas. Lovenberg, Mgr.) The bill this week proved satisfactory although a little weak in the upper register. The big features all made good and it is a show, on the whole, that I think will have some draft. Walsh & Thorne. Rural comedy sketch, man and woman. At the price it manages to get by in the continuous houses as a time-filler. Wouldn't recommend it for anything else. 15 Min. open in 3, close in 1, 3 Shows. DeChantal Sisters. Two fairly good-looking young women whose voices blend harmoniously and who could hold a little bit better spot than this. All right for the smaller 2-a-day houses and for the continuous. Exceptionally good for the money, AR. 3 Shows in 1. Myers & Rosa. Man and woman cowboy lasso throwing and juggling. Better act than I expected to see. Went very well in this spot. Thoroughly all right for the smaller 2-a-day houses. 14 Min. Full Stage, 3 Shows. Innis & Ryan. Man and woman, singing and comedy with a little dancing. These people have improved wonderfully since their last appearance here and they now have an act that is thoroughly all right for the 3-a-day section and a little bit better. The woman wears some attractive costumes, makes several changes, and gets away with some comedy fairly well. The man's voice is good and they make a very neat appearance. 16 Min. in 1, 3 Shows. Stanley & Cogswell. With the exception of Mr. Stanley's imitation of a clarinet there is not a great deal to this act, but that imitation is so remarkable that it gets him plenty of applause at the finish. Miss Cogswell also sings fairly well and while the act is not worth the money we are paying it, it gets by first rate in the early 2-a-day section. 16 Min. open in 3, close in 1, 2 Shows. Collins & Brown. Dutch comedians, of the usual type. Fairly good. 15 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Kitabanzai Troupe of Japs. This act is too well known to require description, they made the usual big hit. 17 Min. open Full Stage, close in 1, 2 Shows. Genaro's Band. Another act that is quite well known on the circuit and which yesterday made the unqualified hit of the show, arousing the audience to unbounded enthusiasm. 35 Min. and they wanted more. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Grace Hazard. Miss Hazard repeated her hit of last season which was a decided one. 16 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Eugene Jepson & Co. In "The Mayor and The Manicure". This sketch may be rated as among the best that we have played this season and was decidedly appreciated by yesterday's audiences. 22 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Cooper & Robinson. Well-known colored team who held down this difficult spot in first class shape. 15 Min. in 1, 2 Shows. Etoile's Horse Show. Rather pretentious act but not as good as I expected or hoped for. The horses are not very well groomed and not exceptionally well trained. The number however make quite a showing and with the several people on the stage, it appears to be a great big act. Among the big features it elicited the least applause. 13 Min. Full Stage, 2 Shows. Motion Pictures. O. K.
