214 Temple Detroit Feb. 10th., 1908. Griff London's Jestive Juggler." An exceptionally clever act, lively, clean and humorous "patter," a rare ventriloquist, a laugh from start to finish. It is too bad that we have to open the show with him as he would be a knockout further down in the bill. 17 min. in 3 3 in 1 A. O. Duncan Same act as he has always brought here. On account of Griff (a real ventriloquist) closing his act with a ventriloqual feature Duncan opened rather tame, and he did not go as strong as he usually does in this house. 20 min. in 3. 4 min. in 1. Brown & Harris & Brown. Same rough comedy and singing act they gave us before. It got considerable applause but I cannot imagine why. It is a variety turn of the long ago. The comedian is funny is spots. 28 min. FS. May Boley A clever, pretty young woman, who last appeared here with the "Polly Girls." Miss Boley will never set the world afire with her talent, but her appearance is refreshing, and while she did not get any applause to speak of she left a favorable impression. 14 min. in 1. Farrell-Taylor Trio About the only noticeable difference in this act and that of Brown, Harris & Brown is that the first named act works in white while this act works in black. The act is not as good as B H & B, but it appeared to please the audience. 24 min. FS. Geo. Ables Co. Presenting "3 of a Kind." While this act is well presented, and funny at times it is about 10 minutes too long. The audience found a great deal to laugh at which is a sufficient guarantee that it earned at least part of the money it receives. 28 min. FS. Edith Helena Miss Helena made the same big hit as on her former appearance notwithstanding she brought the same songs. Her voice is in perfect tune and she went big. 10 min. in one. Cliff Berzac This pony and donkey act was the same big scream as before, and the donkey fairly kicked himself into the good graces of the audience. He appeared to work better than ever. 11 min. FS. Kinetograph. "Animal and Bird Sagacity" is an exceptionally good picture of animal and bird life.
