(2) Sam Watson's Farmyard. On at 3.56, 21 min, full stage. The best act that Watson has ever given us. Scored heavily. Grace Hazard. On at 4.17, 16 min, in 1. How she does it, I don't know, and the more time I spend analyzing her work, the more puzzled I am, but the fact remains that the honors of the show belong to her, judging from the amount of applause accorded her. Horace Goldin. On at 4.33, 20 min, full stage. Considering the trials and tribulations that he went through in getting his stuff in shape, Goldin certainly gave a wonderful performance this afternoon. He is certainly a corking good two-weeks' investment. Kinetograph. On at 4.53, 19 min. "Jack At All Trades"; very good comic. "Going To Switzerland"; one of the best films of the season; retained from last week. Myers and Rosa. On at 5.12, 13 min, full stage; 3 shows. One of the best small-price acts we have had in a long time. They do some novel juggling and finish with some capital lariat work. A find for the small towns. Armstrong and Ashton. On at 5.25, 9 min, in 1; 3 shows. Two pretty girls with good costumes, who are 'way to the bad as vocalists and are mediocre dancers. Would not recommend them for anything but a burlesque show. Eldridge. On at 5.23, 11 min, full stage; 3 shows. His sand pictures are novel and his act is worthy a much better place than we are able to give him this week. Another turn that I consider the real thing for small cities. Cuts: Eldridge. Flea story, picture story, and booze squib. Comment: As I said in the beginning, this should work into a capital show, its only weak point being its lack of novelties.
