Phila. [Philadelphia]-2. MAY BELFORT, Comedienne:-17 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:32. Miss Belfort was not very happy in her choice of selections. The first song did not make very strong impression, not did her Coster song. The Rake's Progress showed her dramatic power, and held the interest of the audience throughout, but I think they prefer comedy. Made good finish with curtain call. WILLARD SIMMS & COMPANY, "Flinder's Furnished Flat":-29 min. F.S. Close in 1. On at 9:49. Well known on the Circuit. Advance hand. Just as much of a riot of fun as ever, with the stage littered with paste and paper to the gallery's liking. The close in one was about as noisy as the previous part of the set, and won three curtain calls. BRADNA & DERRICK, Equestrian:-10 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 10:18. This is a splendid closing feature. The horses are beautiful and everything about the act is thoroughly showmanlike. The woman's costuming is very fetching, and her work shows long experience. The applause was frequent and the finish was very strong. An act to be talked about. KINETOGRAPH:- JACK OF ALL TRADES:- Fairly good comedy film. MILITARY TOURNAMENT AT SAUMNUR: - Very interesting military film. THE HEALYS, S. & D. & T:-14 min. in 2. 3 shows. On at 6:39. This is a very mediocre act which includes some parodies, some moderately amusing talk and some instrumental work on the piano that could only hold an obscure spot. Closed with small hand. WALTER DANIELS Impersonator:-14 min. in 1. 3 shows. On at 6:53. Very good act and worthy of a good spot on any bill. Received considerable applause. Makes up on the stage and meanwhile gives some good explanatory lines. GENERAL REMARKS:- Everybody seems to be pleased with the show. It is a strong average bill with no disappointments although there is no distinct novelty or superlative feature to be played up strong, I think that it will bring the business this week.
