237 N. S. Hastings. Cleveland, O. Feb. 24 '08. SHECK BROTHERS. 2 men. time 9. In 3 palace. A very neat and well finished hand-balancing act. Applause frequent, and several of the tricks entirely new. HILL & WHITAKER Man and woman. C.D.F. time 13. The woman has a deep barytone voice which makes a hit with the audience. She sings coon songs especially well. Her harp solo accompanied by whistling, a hit. Banjo playing by man fair. A good act altogether bringing frequent applause. LEO CARRILLO In 1. time 11. Carrillo tells Chinese stories. His choice of material is great and his unaffected manner and pleasing personality add greatly to the finish of his act. A decided novelty and a big hit here. ED. F. REYNARD. F.S. special. Time 17. Mr. Reynard is justified in his billing of "a ventrilouist with a PRODUCTION." He has a real little sketch and his manikins are interesting individuals with plenty of humor. The act is one of the best. COOPER & ROBINSON. 2 men. Colored. in 1. time 15. Singing, talking and dancing. At last these two have some new material. It is good. Their songs are great and their dancing calls for more. 100 per cent better than on their last local visit. NANCE O'NEILL & COMPANY. 2 women, 2 men. Time 16. F.S. Presenting "The Jewess." A highly tragic theme well acted by each member of the cast. It held the audience well. Remarks picked up in the lobby after the show indicate that the people were well pleased and that it will bring business later in the week. CHRIS RICHARDS. Time 10. English eccentric singing and dancing. The work is unique and grotesque. Songs not so good. But the dancing is very funny and full of novelty. A hard spot on the bill, but Richards can undoubtedly hold it down. THE NOVELLOS 10 people. 2 elephants, dogs and ponies. The act makes a fine showing on the stage. The acrobats and animals are doing two or three different stunts in various groups at the same time giving an effect not unlike the "one ring." The work is all high class and novel and keeps the audience rooted to their seats. Undoubtedly one of the showiest circus acts we have ever played. THE KINETOGRAPH.
