244 CRITICISM KEITH & PROCTOR'S 125TH STREET THEATRE FEBRUARY 24 1908 ARMSTRONG & CLARK Two men in a singing sketch. Received some little advance applause. Good in spots. Falls short of being a success, or as good as when last presented. Finished very tame. Twenty Minutes, Close in One Three Minutes. HENRY CLIVE Assisted by Mai Sturgis Walker. Clive works in full dress while the woman makes a very neat appearance. Does a few tricks in magic with the assistance of a boy in the audience. Manages to score some good strong laughs. Fully capable of holding a better position. Fifteen Minutes in Two. Can work in One. CLARICE VANCE Some advance applause. Has a very good selection of songs. While she did not finish as strong as I expected, presume she pleased. Eleven Minutes in One. EMMA FRANCIS And her Whirlwind Arabs. Applause hit of the show up to this time. Nine Minutes Full Stage. AVERY & HART Big advance applause. Always go well here. Twenty-one Minutes in One. TOURBILLON TROUPE Three men and three women. The bicycle work of this troupe is only ordinary but they received a great deal of recognition for their work on the double stairs. At the price a fairly good closing number. Nine Minutes Full Stage.
