1 Philadelphia B.F. KEITH'S July 7t, 9 KINOGRAMS and "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - (19 mins.) Pictures very good. A big improvement in "Topics Of The Day". All the reading matter was clear and several got laughs. THE ACT BEAUTIFUL - (12 mins.) This very pretty posing act, which we have played several times, did very well in the opening spot. Some changes have been made, freshening up the pictures. SWAN & SWAN - (9 mins.) A juggling and dancing act, with a little comedy, the man having a good routine of tricks and the girl assists in some of them. The act did very well, closing to a good hand. LILLIAN HERLEIN - (16 mins.) Sang four songs and was very well received, finishing to a good hand. Owing to the non-arrival of her baggage she was forced to appear in one gown instead of making her usual changes. BRENDEL & BERT - (21 mins.) This is a local act that has been playing the circuit. It has been here several times and always was a big laughing hit and was the same this time, keeping the house amused from start to finish. GIBSON & CONNELLI - in "The Honeymoon" - (18 mins.) This sketch proved an excellent repeater. It played here several months ago, scoring a big hit and came back in the headline spot and registered just as solidly as before. It is one of the best comedy sketches we have ever played. SINCLAIR & CASPER - (17 mins.) These girls got a lot of laughs and closed strong with their mixture of songs and talk. One of the girls holds up the comedy with a good line of talk and all their numbers were well done. REGAY & SHEEHAN - (20 mins.) A very good looking dancing turn in which the girl does a single number that was a tremendous applause hit. They have some showy numbers, all beautifully executed, and closed strong. AL HERMAN - (17 mins.) As big a laughing hit as usual. Has about the same line of talk, including some about the other sets on the bill, and sang a couple of songs. Closed strong. IDEAL - (14 mins.) In the closing spot this act did splendidly , holding the audience strong, and getting a liberal amount of applause. It was an appropriate feature for the warm weather and the showy work of the woman in the tank was very well liked. GENERAL REMARKS - This was another good summer show, with plenty of comedy running through it, and it opened very satisfactorily. CUTS Al Herman - Calling attention to his name on the program and where he was living.
