4 PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JUNE 30th, 9 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - (19 mins.) The pictures were very interesting but the "Topics of the Day" were very poor being so indistinct that it was almost impossible to read them. ERFORD'S WHIRLING SENSATION - (8 mins.) A very pretty seial novelty by two women and a man, the woman doing a routine of teeth tricks. Went very well in the opening spot. LUCILLE & COCKIE - (14 mins.) A novelty that fitted in nicely in this spot. The birds do some clever work and the act is well handled by the woman. Finished to a good hand. EMERSON & BALDWIN - (12 mins.) A good comedy juggling act. Got plenty of laughs and finished to a big hand, with some speedy club tossing. KHARUM - (18 mins.) One of the big applause hits of the show and one of the biggest hits of any pianist we have ever had here. He could have continued after taking at least a dozen bows. STEPHENS & HOLLISTER - (19 mins.) A singing and talking sketch, called, "Out In California". This is a new offering for this couple here and it was very well received. It is a neat sketch with some bright dialogue and they handle all their material in good shape. CREOLE FASHION PLATE - 16 min. A big applause hit. He went on in the afternoon in street clothes, his trunks being late and made good with songs alone, but at the night show he scored with each number and when he disclosed his identity, the house applauded for a long while. Finished very big. HAIG & WALDRON - 14 min. A nice looking dancing act with plenty of action and speed. Miss Haig works very hard and Waldron is an excellent assistant. Each number got over in good shape and the act closed strong. KITNER & REANEY - 13 min. Got plenty of laughs with their talk and pleased with their songs. A good line of patter and use it well. Closed to a good hand. JOHNSON, BAKER & JOHNSON - 9 min. Did fine in the closing spot, getting plenty of laughs for the comedy and applause for their clever hat-spinning and juggling. Plenty of novelty and a good closing numbre. GENERAL REMARKS - Show went over fine, with two or three extra big applause hits and some good laughing acts. A big house voiced its approval fro the whole bill. -o-
