PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S October 27th 9 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Some good pictures, but had too many of the Prince of Wales' tour. "Topics", as usual very good. HERMAN & SHIRLEY - (15 mins.) This act has not been seen here for a year or more but proved just as big a hit as ever, getting a lot of applause and laughs. [OREY?] & BYRON - A very good singing and talking act by a man and woman. Nicely dressed and staged, going from one to two for their finish. The woman makes a great flash with her clothes and does a bit of loose dancing with her partner that took them off to a big hand. (16 mins.) SYLVESTER & VANCE - (15 mins.) A comedy singing and talking act by a man and woman that got over with very good results. The man handles the comedy and got a fair amount of laughs. Finished to a fairly good hand with a song and dance number. "KISS ME" - (41 mins.) One of the Wm. B. Friedlander productions, employing a company of twelve. Contains a very good comedy plot, was well applauded, got a lot of laughs and finished to a very good hand. Well played, in fact as a whole is much better than one or two of the others we have had recently and it held from the spot in very good shape. MILLER & MACK - (15 mins.) These boys were a laughing and applause riot with their eccentric comedy, singing and dancing. They danced several times during their dialogue and finished with a burlesque number that had the house in an uproar. VALERIE BERGERE & CO. in "The Moth" - (28 mins.) The best thing Miss Bergere has shown in vaudeville for a long time. It blends comedy and drama and gives her ample opportunity to show her talents in both lines. It was a big hit with our audience and took several curtains. ELIZABETH M. MURRAY - (19 mins.) Being a Philadelphian she was given a great welcome here after a long absence. Her act was warmly received. She sang several songs and told some stories. Closed to a very good hand. HUBERT KINNEY & CORRINE - A very pretty novelty dance number that made good despite the handicap of closing a show that was not only long but late starting owing to a parade. Their work, however, is of high order, the dancing being beautifully done and did very well under the circumstances. The act would no doubt have done much better in an earlier spot but the make-up of the bill prohibited any other lay-out and considering everything it was very satisfactory. (10 mins.) GENERAL REMARKS - A very good show. A bit hard to lay out but very satisfactory as an entertainer and went over big to a capacity house. CUTS Sylvester & Vance - Eliminate reference to "Shubert's Chorus Girls" and also remark about "Comedian War Stripes".
