PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE NOV. 24th, 9 We have an excellent bill this week, one that no fault can be found with from beginning to end. Every act landed, some of them with considerable force. CHARLES LOVENBERG. WALLACE GALVIN: Magician. This man is a very clever worker, has a nice personality and there is considerable comedy injected into his act. A very nice act, well worth while playing for No. 1 or 2 spot in any bill. 17 min. in one. THE DECORATORS: This decidedly hokum act certainly makes them laugh, and while there is not much merit to the offering, it is a good vehicle for entertainment and is worth while playing for that reason. 15 min. full stage. MR. & MRS. JOSEPH NORCROSS: Veteran Minstrel basso and his wife. Mr. Norcross is no longer the vocalist that he was some years ago, but somehow or other, whether it was through sentiment or some other reason, the act certainly made a hit, in fact, it got more applause than any act I recollect seeing very recently. 13 min. in one. RAYMOND BOND & CO: In a sketch "Story Book Stuff". In a very unusual setting, Mr. Bond is giving a very unusual act. It is one of the best sketches we have had in a long time. Plenty of comedy; it is in a new idea and it is well played. Because of the fact that Mr. Bond was a member of our stock Company, the supposition might arise that he made good in Providence for that reason; that is not the fact, our audiences expect more from our sotck people than they would from any regular vaudevillians and that would tend to make it more difficult for Mr. Bond than otherwise. In spite of this the act was thoroughly successful, both as to securing laughs and applause. I consider it a thoroughly worth while act and one that should be played. 22 min. full stage. BEN BERNIE: Mr. Bernie with his magnetic personality, clever talk and violin, scored his unusual hit. 13 min. in one. CHICKEN CHOW MIEN: With Gould & Lewis and Arthur Havel. The most satisfactory group act we have played. They have some good songs, good comedy and an attractive production. I am very pleased to have it on the bill. 40 min. full stage. SANTOS & HAYES: As usual the big laughing hit of the show. 17 min. in one. GEMS OF ART: A very beautiful reproduction in marble effect of well known statues and statuettes. A fine act. 9 min. full stage.
