PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S NOVEMBER 17th 9. KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Up to the usual average. DONALD SISTERS - (5 mins.) Two girls in a routine of hand-to-hand balancing tricks. A distinct novelty, good looking and did very well in the opening spot. NIPPON DUO - (14 mins.) These two Japs have a real novelty, opening their act with singing and instrumental music and finishing with a clever bit of foot juggling. Opens a little slow but finished to a very good hand. The Beatties - (11 mins.) Two kids in this act proved an applause riot. They work with their father, who is also a good stepper, but the value of the act lies in the dancing by the children. They do a routine of fast work that equals lots of big acts we have played. FRANK GABY - (19 mins.) A very good repeater for us, getting plenty of laughs and finishing to a good hand. "MAGIC GLASSES" - (16 mins.) Another of the sketches in verse by Frances Nordstrom and a real novelty that vaudeville should like. It is classy, well written and very well played. Given strict attention and made a very good impression, closing to a very good hand. GRACE NELSON - (14 mins.) A very high-class vocal offering that was warmly received by our audience. An attractive woman with an excellent voice and pleasing personality and her numbers, which were well executed, were very well received. She closed to a very good hand. WILKIE BARD - (36 mins.) This remarkable artist had not finished his first song before he was a recognized hit for us and before the finish of his first number he had the audience with him without any question. He did two characters, "The Scrubwoman" and "The Night Watchman", scoring with each, getting his full share of applause and finishing strong. There is no question about his being an artistic hit that will be recognized anywhere as it was here. BAILEY & COWAN - (15 mins.) In the next to closing spot of one of the best shows we have had this season, these boys were a clean-up. They put every number over with a bang and closed to a tremendous hand. They have some new songs and their act is better than ever. TIM & KITTY O'MEARA - (16 mins.) This act held down the closing spot in fine shape with a variety of dances all nicely done, holding the audience in and closing to a good hand. GENERAL REMARKS - This is a great show from start to finish and was a big applause winner with a capacity house the first performance.
