PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE DECEMBER 8th, 9 We have an excellent bill this week. No fault can be found with any act upon the program. CHAS. LOVENBERG. HERBERT'S DOGS: Very pretty opening act, and while only a few tricks are done, as a whole it is effective and held the spot in nice shape. 7 min. full stage. DU FOR BOYS: These two chaps do some excellent soft shoe step dancing of a very unusual nature and were rewarded with generous applause. 12 min. in one. THE BRIANTS: In something of a new twist in the way of a knockabout act that had the audience in screams of laughter 11 min. full stage. FRED BERRENS: Violinist accompanied by an automatic pianoplayer. Something of a novelty that got over very nicely. 14 min. in one. FLIRTATION: A little musical comedy by six people, of which one girl is a very clever dancer and one chap an excellent light comedian. Not a New York Jazz production, but an act that I would recommend for the other cities. 25 min. full stage. YATES & REED: These two men were pretty near the big applause and laughing hit of the show as they usually are in Providence. 16 min. in one. JEAN ADAIR & CO: "When Ella Comes To Town". A new playlet and a charming little sketch, beautifuly played by Miss Adair and her Company, especially the part of the old man. 28 min. full stage. WHITING & BURT: First time here for this well know team who scored well in their artistically rendered turn of songs. 24 min. in one. MAY WIRTH "PIPP" & CO: Equestrienne Act. Far and away the very best riding act I have ever played. A great group of riders, some good comedians and a tremendous flash. An act that properly belongs in the middle of the bill where it will be a sensation. 12 min. full stage.
