PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S DECEMBER 15th 9 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - A Fair average. BARTHOLDI'S BIRDS - (10 mins.) A pretty bird act that did very well in this spot. FOLEY & LA TURE - (14 mins.) A neat singing and dancing turn by a boy and girl. A fair average of songs, work before a special drop and wear attractive costumes. Did very well. "FOR PITY'S SAKE" - (29 mins.) This act played here a long while ago and was a big laughing hit. It was the same this time, keeping the audience in a roar of laughter from start to finish and closing to a big hand. MACK & EARL - (14 mins.) Repeated as well as usual, getting plenty of laughs and finishing to a very good hand. FALLON & BROWN - (18 mins.) A new "nut" comedy act that was one of the big applause hits of the bill. They have a lot of comedy talk that kept the laughs going and one of the boys put over a solo for very good results. Finished very strong. WILLIAM ROCK & CO. - A beautiful act and while it did not arouse a great deal of applause until the finish, it undoubtedly held our audience interested from start to finish. It is a magnificent production and as a fashion show is sure to arouse talk anywhere. There is a good comedy finish to it and it closed very strong. (34 mins.) JOE COOK - (14 mins.) A very good comedy number and in the next to closing spot he put over a good size applause hit. He got a lot of laughs and finished to a big hand. "AN ARTISTIC TREAT" - (6 mins.) A very pretty posing act, employing three persons, a man and two women. Subjects are new and well posed and the act did very well as the closing feature. GENERAL REMARKS - A fine bill for the week before Christmas. The Rock act is sure to create a lot of talk and business. Plenty of comedy surrounding it and went over fine to a capacity audience. CUTS Fallon & Brown - Elimination of the line "I'll be coming home from work. What kind of work do you do? (With business of acting effeminate.) "For Pity's Sake" - Change the line to reference to "Baptist Church" to "Main Street Church."
