PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S DECEMBER 22 9 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Pictures good. "Topics" very funny. THREE DANOISE SISTERS - (6 mins.) - A very good opening act. A showy routine of tricks, well done. Closed to a good hand. JACKIE & BILLY - (13 mins.) A very good novelty, the best of the talking bird acts we have had here and it was very well liked. THE MAGLEYS - (15 mins.) A prettily staged dancing act but slow until the finishing number, a whirlwind dance, very well done which brought them a big hand. Closed strong. STONE & HAYES - (14 mins.) A singing and talking turn by a man and woman, the former playing the part of a rube. He has a lot of good comedy talk, got a lot of laughs and finished to a good hand, with a good musical number. BERT BAKER & CO. in "Prevarisation" - This sketch repeated very well for us, keeping the audience in a roar of laughter from start to finish. Closed to a big hand. NAN GRAY - (13 mins.) - A singer of Scotch songs. Made a very favorable showing here, getting applause with each of her numbers and finishing to a good hand. Has a good voice and makes an attractive appearance, dressing in Scotch costumes. ANATOL FRIEDLAND in "Musicland" - (24 mins.) - A big, classy song revue that was a big applause hit. There are eleven girls in the act and they wear a lavish display of costumes. The music and singing are pleasing and the whole production makes a great flash. BRENDEL & BERT - (14 mins.) Act just about the same as it has been for a year or so but as usual it was a big laughing hit here, holding this spot down in fine shape. ROLAND TRAVERS - (8 mins.) A very showy illusion act. Good tricks, well done and the act made a big flash in the closing position holding the audience interested and closing to a big hand. GENERAL REMARKS - The above bill makes an ideal Christmas week program with plenty of comedy surrounding a big flashy feature and it played very well to a big house Monday afternoon.
