PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S DECEMBER 29 I KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good. ROODE & FRANCE - (7 mins.) This is a very showy wire-walking act by a man and woman. Good routine and makes a very good opening number. MELNOTTE & LEEDOM - (19 mins.) Comedy singing turn by two girls. Good songs and snappy talk, all of which they handle very well, and got plenty of laughs. Finish with a dance and closed to a big hand. MACART & BRADFORD - (20 mins.) In "A Legitimate Hold-Up"- A comedy sketch that got a lot of laughs and finished to a good hand. Built on old farce lines and well handled by a company of three. Did very well in this spot. RAE ELEANORE BALL & BROTHER - (15 mins.) Always a favorite here Miss Ball is giving the best act she has ever presented and it was a big applause hit. Her program consists mostly of classical music and she is accompanied by her brother, who plays the cello in the orchestra pit. Closed strong. MARION MORGAN DANCERS - (25 mins.) Undoubtedly the most brilliant dance spectacle we have ever played. Beautifully staged and costumed and wonderfully done. The story is plainly told and the finale presented the most striking spectacle we have ever seen. JIM DUFFY & MR. SWEENEY - (15 mins.) These boys did fairly well with their "nut" comedy, keeping the audience laughing steadily and closing to a good hand. BUZZELL & PARKER - (16 mins.) Recently of the musical comedy "Not Yet Marie" this boy and girl put over a well-liked comedy singing and dancing turn with a lot of cross-fire talk that got a liberal amount of laughs. Their stuff is snappy and full of action and the act was well liked. LESTER - (22 mins.) The new act he is offering in "one" did very well, especially with a large number of children in the house. He works very slowly but does a clever routine and closed strong. REX COMEDY CIRCUS - (11 mins.) With the house holding crowds of children, this act was a riot of laughs, the unridable mule being very funny and the act made an excellent closing number for this show. GENERAL REMARKS - A great show for holiday week with a lot of comedy surrounding the Morgan Dancers which scored a tremendous hit. CUTS Buzzell & Parker - Eliminate the entire song "When It Comes To Loving."
