PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JANUARY 12th 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Both very good. NOVELTY CLINTONS - (10 mins.) A very good routine of tricks and acrobatic jumping and made a very nice opener, closing strong. GEORGE YOEMAN & LIZZIE - (17 mins.) A lot of bright talk presented in real novel fashion, the Lizzie in the act being mythical. It is a monologue of a different kind and scored a big hit. CLAUDE & FANNIE USHER - (26 mins.) - A new playlet "Bide-A-Wee Home". In a class with their previous plays and one of the very best they have ever given. Held close attention, got a lot of laughs and finished strong. Owing to the construction of this bill we were compelled to put this act on in third position. It belongs later in the bill and can hold any spot. WHITING & BURT - (23 mins.) - With a repertoire of new numbers this team scored one of its usual big applause hits here. It is a classy singing turn, one of the very best, and was a big winner. HENRI SCOTT - (14 mins.) Being a Philadelphian made this grand opera singer an extra strong feature for our bill and he was given a tremendous welcome. But aside from his local popularity he was a pronounced musical hit. His voice is of splendid calibre, range and power and in a program of operatic airs and ballads he was heard to excellent advantage. VICTOR MOORE & COMPANY - (21 mins.) A revival of their old-time act proved a very good low comedy hit and was very well received. It has been changed little, if any, since originally shown, but the old comedy bits kept the audience in a laugh and closed very strong. ALICE LLOYD - (23 mins.) - A warm welcome was given this popular English comedienne and she registered a big hit with her character songs. Sang several new numbers and finished up with two of her popular songs used several years ago. Each number got a big share of applause and she closed strong. MEHLINGER & MEYER - (13 mins.) Following all the singing acts these boys went on in the next to closing position and were a riot. They sang several new songs and closed with their old medley or original compositions. A tremendous hit. CHANDON TRIO - (8 mins.) A corking aerial act by two women and a man. A fine routine of tricks, well done, and the whole act very showy. GENERAL REMARKS - This is probably one of the biggest shows we have ever played in this house and every act was a big hit with a capacity audience at the Monday matinee. It should be a tremendous week. CUTS GEORGE YOEMAN & LIZZIE - Eliminate remark, "I wonder what's keeping Lizzie. I know she can't live on the salary I am paying her."
