PROVIDENCE. R. I. E. F. ALBEE JANUARY 13th, 20 We have a very well playing show this week that gave a very evident satisfaction to the audience assembled at yesterday's performance. CHAS. LOVENBERG. PEGGY BREMEN & BRO: Balancing on ladders somewhat unusual act that met with approval. 8 min. full stage. DAISY NELLIS: Miss Nellis is a very fine pianist indeed, although I think her program might be improved upon. 14 min. in one. GOSLAR & LUSBY: Miss Lusby is a very good dancer and with a proper partner, would no doubt have a most desirable act. The man in the act is only fair and while satisfactory in the spot that is about all that can be said of them. 13 min. full stage. DUFFY & SWEENEY: One of the most unusual comedy acts we have ever had, which scored very well indeed. 13 min. in one. VALERIE BERGERE & CO: In "The Moth". This is a splendid playlet and Mr. Warren's work is very good, the supporting Company is passable, but Miss Bergere is by no way fitted for the part, although it gets over well in spite all that because of the very good material. Incidentally, it is 33% overpaid. 27 min. full stage SIDNEY PHILLIPS: Dialect stories and songs. A very good entertainer. 15 min. in one. JULIET: Mimic. Unquestionably the greatest artist in her line we have ever had. The audience were very disinclined to let her go after she had been on the stage 25 min. full stage. WILLIAMS & WOLFUS: The same act they have been doing some ten years and which does not reach nearly as strongly or get the big laughs that is used to because of the familiarity of the audience knowing what is going to happen. I would not want them again until they got some new material. 20 min. in one. CURZON SISTERS: Human butterflys. Well known act that made a good closer. 7 min full stage. CUTS: SIDNEY PHILLIPS: The word "Hell." GOSLAR & LUSBY: Line in the song about the mind reader slapping the man in the face.
