PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S MARCH 1st 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Good variety of pictures. "Topics" very good. JOLLY JONNIE JONES - (8 mins.) Opens slowly in one and then picked up, both comedy and speed, with some clever work on the wire in full stage. Closed to a good hand. LIBONATI - (16 mins.) Did splendidly with a program of popular and classical selections on the Xylophone. A clever artist who makes good use of his material and closed strong. JAMES C. MORTON - (23 mins.) Assisted by his son, daughter and wife, is doing a lot of clowning along the same lines he has always done and it got a lot of laughs, holding this spot in very good shape. TALBOT O'FARRELL - (14 mins.) This singer was very well received. Did very little talking, following with four or five songs, mixed in style and all of them sung in excellent voice. He was accorded applause for each number and finished to a good hand. "THE HEART OF ANNIE WOOD"- (17 mins.) This is about the mildest sketch we have played in a long time. A pretty idea, well enough thought out but very poorly played and while it was liked by a few, the majority of our audience showed very little interest in it. If it were played by better people it might get over, but in its present condition it falls short. LLOYD & CHRISTIE - (15 mins.) This is the old act of Aveling & Lloyd, the latter playing with a new partner. They are using about the same routine of comedy talk and got a lot of laughs with it. Did very well although it is not as good an act as the original. ALBERTINA RASCH - (21 mins.) A very high class number that was very warmly appreciated by those who like this sort of work. Miss Rasch is undoubtedly a great artiste and is giving an entirely new repertoire of numbers this season, all beautifully executed, and with special music. The act was a good size applause hit. EVA TANGUAY - (20 mins.) A crowded house gave her a royal welcome and she was a big appluse hit. She offered an entirely new series of numbers, closing with her familiar "I Don't Care", and every one brought her big returns. Her costumes are as wonderful as ever and from a box-office standpoint she has lost nothing during her absence. CHARLES McGOOD & COMPANY - (7 mins.) A very good athletic novelty by two men and a girl, the latter doing some very good hand-to-hand tricks. Furnished a very satisfactory closing act. GENERAL REMARKS - After two weeks of speed with the Rooney act headlining this show seems quiet but it opened to a capacity house and there was a line all day long at the box-office, showing that Miss Tanguay still draws them.
