PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JUNE 7th 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good. DUPREE & DUPREE - (6 mins.) A man and woman bicycle act. Do some very showy tricks. Good looking act that did well in the opening spot. TUCK & CLAIRE - (11 mins.) Two men in a routine of some very good acrobatic and contortion work. They use the latter for some comedy and the act got over in good shape. FORDE & SHEEHAN - (19 mins.) A pretty dancing act. The dancing does not show much variety but it is very prettily staged and the costumes are attractive. It was very well received. WRIGHT & DIETRICH -(18 mins.) This act did as well as ever for us and it has played here several times with success. Closed to a good hand. HELEN KELLER - (22 mins.) The strictest attention was given to this wonderful woman by a capacity audience and she was constantly applauded. There is no way to estimate the interest she attracted, other than to say that every word she spoke sank deeply and at the finish she was forced to take several bows. CLIFFORD & WILLS - (20 mins.) A comedy singing and talking act by a man and woman. A little draggy in its action but the comedy lines are well handled and got a lot of laughs. Closed to a good hand with a song. CHARLEY GRAPEWIN & ANNA CHANCE - in "Jed's Vacation"- (17 mins.) This act repeated very well for us, getting a liberal amount of laughs and closing to a very good hand. Grapewin has changed some of the lines but otherwise the sketch is the same as last season. RALPH HERZ - (19 mins.) Did very well with a series of songs and receitations such as he has used on his former appearance in vaudeville. He has a couple of good comedy numbers and made good with them through his excellent delivery. FOUR ACES - (5 mins.) One of the best casting acts in vaudeville. They show the usual routine of feats, with two or three especially showy tricks, and did very well in the closing position. GENERAL REMARKS - After two disappointments Helen Keller finally got into the bill and was welcomed by a capacity house. A wait following Helen Keller and another serious one ahead of Grapewin slowed up the show but these were eliminated by shifting Clifford and Wills with Wright & Dietrich. While this bill is lacking in speed and comedy we believe it will please the class of people Miss Keller will draw, better than a jazz show would.
