BOSTON KEITH'S Aug. 9, 20 Kinograms:-Good--a particularly interesting subject being the motion picture of Ponzi, James J. Corbett and Billy B. Van, in a sketch, taken on the stage of the Boston Theatre, Wednesday, August 4, and shown here at the Keith Theatres exclusively. Topics of the Day:-Up to the Average. The Great Johnson:-5 min. F.S. Spec. The old-fashioned contortionist who works a little different from the others, made a fair opener. Russell & Devitt:-7 min. in 1. Very good acrobatic dancing, went over well. Holmes & La Vere:-17 min. in 3 & 1 Spec. This is a novel presentation of song and dance offering, nicely staged, and went over very good. Fay Courtney:-17 min. in 1. Miss Courtney, with the assistance of pianist, went over fairly well. Josephine & Henning:-18 min. F.S. Spec. The same offering as on their last visit here, and seemed to please. Ralph Herz:-20 min. in 1. Mr. Herz got a little reception on his entrance, worked along his usual lines, and closed to a fairly good hand. Mary Young:-33 min. F.S. Spec. Mary Young in a sketch written especially for her engagement here, has a well balanced cast, and went over very good. The sketch is called "Juliet Comes First", a sort of a travesty on "Romeo and Juliet". Chic Sale:-30 min. in 1. Just as big as ever. Jean Duval:-8 min. in 3 Spec. Posing act, but could not hold audience, probably owing to the fact that we have played so many of these acts in the past few months. CUTS: MARY YOUNG: If possible, please eliminate reference on slide to "usher keeping date".
