PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S July 7th, 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAYS"- Very good. THE VAN CELLOS - (7 mins.) - Some very good foot juggling by the man in this act brought excellent returns and furnished a good opener. A woman is carried as assistant. MURPHY & WHITE - (15 mins.) These two men cleaned up in great shape with songs and piano numbers. Good routine of songs all well done. Closed strong. "WROE'S BUDS" - (26 mins.) A local act with a group of children. It is an annual presentation. This year's is the best they have ever given us and the act was a big hit. HARRY BREEN - (20 mins.) Some time since we have played this act and he was a good sized hit. His material remains about the same but he got a lot of laughs with it and finished to a good hand. SAM LIEBERT & CO. in "The End Of The World" - (30 mins.) The revival of this old sketch furnishes vaudeville with avery good character comedy play and it is very well done by this company. Got a lot of laughs and while it is a bit long held the audiences' attention from start to finish. ANGER & PACKER - (13 mins.) This young couple held this spot in nice shape. They open with comedy talk and finish with a song, getting good results with both. "UNDER THE APPLE TREE" - (26 mins.) A Tabloid musical comedy featuring John Sully, who is supported by a company of ten including a chorus very elaborately costumed. It carries a light comedy plot and the laughs came steadily. The music is not particularly brilliant but is catchy and well handled. The act got over in very nice shape., without scoring anything unusual in the hit line. GLENN & JENKINS - (18 mins.) These colored boys were a riot of laughs and furnished us with a corking good next to closing number. Most of their act is talk with one instrumental number and some stepping. A first rate comedy turn that can make good on any bill. MARIA LO - (8 mins.) This act did as well as usual for us and has played here several times. They have some new posings, very artistic, and the act did very well in the closing spot. GENERAL REMARKS - This was a very good holiday week show and got a fine start with two capacity houses against hot weather on Monday. It is a well balanced bill that played satisfactorily from start to finish. CUTS Murphy & White - In the song "How Do They Do It" eliminate the words "Old Devils" and "Chickens"; also the using of the name of a local hotel.
