PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S JULY 12th, 20 KINOGRAMS & "TOPICS OF THE DAY" - Very good. MR. & MRS. GORDON WILDE - (11 mins.) A very good opener, their shadow pictures furnishing comedy that got laughs. Have added a daughter since the act played here last. CAITS BROS. & BEATRICE - (14 mins.) The two boys scored solidly with their stepping. A girl added since playing here last sings with only fair success. Act closed to a good hand on the dancing. FRANK CONROY - (18 mins.) A blackface comedy sketch that made a very light impression, getting few laughs and closing to a very light hand. Does not compare with any of the former Conroy & Lamaire acts and is really a dissappointment as a comedy act. BERT ERROL - (18 mins.) First appearance here in several years and a big hit. Songs got over in great shape and his comedy got a lot of laughs. Closed strong. NORA BAYES - (28 mins.) The most artistic act she has ever offered here and a big applause hit. Less comedy than usual in her songs but a little colored child is used for splendid comedy and is a sure-fire hit. Miss Bayes looked wonderful, sang as well as ever and the whole act is a tremendous hit. BENSEE & BAIRD - (15 mins.) Act repeated very well with the same material used on former visits. Closed to a good hand. HENRI SCOTT - (11 mins.) A return engagement, having played here a short time ago. A local act but a sure hit on his merits. Sings operatic selections and ballads in splendid voice. CLARK & VERDI - (15 mins.) As big a laughing hit as usual. Have some new talk, which got good results. Went fine in this spot, closing strong. A;FRED NAESS - (6 mins.) Their skating on ice is a very good summer, novelty, well staged and made a very acceptable closing act. CUTS "Topics of the Day" - That's what comes of crossing a mule with a bicycle. Caits Bros. - "Pork, that's what you can't eat." FRANK CONROY - "Damned if it ain't".
