(H. J. Keating) Boston Show, Week of Mr. 21, 1904 Stereopticon, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1--Usual collection of interesting home and foreign views. John Daly and Annie Devere, 3 shows, 15 min. full stage (can close in 1)--Appearing in their amusing farce, "Bridget's Work Goes" which makes a good comedy turn, for the 3-show-section. Brooks brothers, 3 shows, 16 min. in 1--Black and white face talking comedians, the fellow who blacks up being quite clever. It is an excellent 3-a-day act. Orpheus Comedy Four, 2 shows, 16 min. in 1--This quartet is made up of very good singers, but as usual in such acts the comedy is of little merit. They made an excellent impression, notwithstanding and could be placed lower down on the bill. Jessie Couthoui, 2 shows, 13 min. in 1--Gave her recitation first and followed with her "store gossip", which is the best thing she can do. She is rapidly going behind and I do not think we will care for her any more. Nate Leipzig, 2 shows, 15 min. in 1--Manipulator of coins, cards, and small billiard balls. He is as clever as Nelson Downs or Thurston, but lacks the pleasing personality that distinguishes the performers named. Like all acts of this class, Mr. Leipzig's work "made good". May Edouin and Fred Edwards, 2 shows, 28 min. full stage--In their well known character sketch, "A Bachelor's Dream", which is too well known to need any criticism from me. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Watrons, 2 shows, 12 min. in 1--Vocalists of the better class, the man being much the better of the two. Went big. Annie Abbott, 2 shows, 25 min. full stage--Created just as much interest as at any time last week. She had a lively committee on the stage, who subjected her to unusual tests, but she "made good". She is unquestionably drawing business and is worthy
